plans for future drawings

now that i finaly have my new laptop (its an asus how fancy XD)
im gonna continue my sonic character revamps and i will be drawing an updated version of my anime self because i no longer wear the Stripped hoddie any more because
1. im never cold so i dont need it
and
2. its all ripped and ill fix it in the future.
so yeah thats my plan
that and getting on here more
i will be uploading slowly and will probably promote my cosplay page more and more as time goes on. so yeah

im back from HIATUS

oh my god its been sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long since ive been on here im sorry for the lack of activity. my old laptop sucks and wouldn't load this site and college has been kicking my ass so ive been drawing less and making less costumes. I hope to be more active now tho ^W^

Q: How many years have you cosplayed?
A: this is my 2nd year I think
Q: How did you get into cosplaying?
A: my friend introduced me to copslaying during lunch in the cafeteria one day back in like 2012 and now I cosplay!
Q: What was your first convention and how did it go?
A: Anime Boston 2013 it was amazing! I loved it and after I got major post- con depression
Q: How many cons have you been to?
A: 2 so far (both anime Boston) and one coming up this month!
Q: How many cosplays have you done?
A: 3 so far, they were Fem Spirit Albarn from Soul Eater, Hatsune Miku, The Will of the Abyss from Pandora hearts

Q: What was your first cosplay and why did you choose it?
A: the first cosplay was technically 2 both hatsune Miku and Fem Spirit were made in the same year and for mostly the same reason, because I wanted to cosplay with my friend sabi, but for Spirit Albarn I chose him because he was my favorite character from Soul Eater!
Q: What is your favourite cosplay you've done so far?
A: The Will of the Abyss from Pandora hearts
the costume was a pain to make but I got so many compliments and it was absolutely my most popular so far.
Q: What is your least favourite you've cosplayed?
A: Hatsune Miku, I liked it but it was my first ever cosplay that I hand made, my first cosplay ever in fact, im proud of it but I just wish it came out better.
Q: What cosplay is the most uncomfortable?
A: spirit albarn, the jacket has cropped sleeves but they are elastic and they are tight on my elbows and they itch super bad, and my feet with hurt after a while

Q: How do you research the cosplay before you make it?
A: obviously I will watch the anime they are from before I even put them on my ' to cosplay' list then I will look up pictures for references to use when making the cosplay and see what I cant put my own spin on... anything so I don't have to wear pants! (I don't ever wear pants)
Q: Do you sew your cosplays yourself?
A: yes even if I buy parts at a thrift shop I will always alter them and sew them in some way ^^' though to be fair I do have help by my old neighbor she is a sweet old lady that can sew very well
Q: If so, how did you learn to sew? If not, do you plan to learn?
A: I learned from my neighbor, she knows so much
Q: Do you make your own props?
A: mostly yes, if I know I cant make something I will ask for help or I will buy it and change it however I see fit but no mater what I will change it

Q: Do you style your own wigs?
A: I did once with my hatsune miku wig, never again D: soo much stress I put my scissors down 14 times till I grew a pair and cut the bangs I will most likely be bringing it to a hair dresser and tell them exactly what I need
Q: What other skills do you use to create your cosplays?
A: creativeness mostly, you need to be able to use whatever you have to make your cosplay as authentic as possible

Q: What is the hardest thing when making a cosplay?
A: trying to get around any difficulty's and screw ups you have, its hard and its stressful but you can get through anything
Q: What was the biggest screw up you've had making a cosplay?
A: on my hatsune Miku cosplay I had no idea how to use a pattern so I told my neighbor I could put the top together by myself and I sewed it together... it was all wrong and I had to go buy new fabric because apparently she couldn't salvage what I had done?
Q: How often do you injure yourself while making a cosplay?
A: as many times as it takes to stick needles straight though your fingers

Q: Do you try to stay cheap or do you splurge on materials?
A: I try to get the best materials possible by the cheapest means I can COUPONING FOR JO-ANNE FABRICS IS THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME YOU NEED TO USE A COUPON IT WILL HELP YOU SO FREAKING MUCH IM NOT EVEN JOKEING im going to become a coupon cutter and a PROUD ONE AT THAT!

A: Yes, when I cosplayed fem!Spirit Albarn from Soul Eater, was fem!Stein, and

A: All the time, really by accident, when I was a zombie for's birthday and we went out I had this blank zombie stare that I didn't even realize I was doing when um the will of the abyss I will walk as elegantly as possible, I act without knowing it its odd but very helpful I get it to character easy and its great
Q: Have you ever done fan service at a con? (yaoi, yuri, etc)
A: Not exactly except if you count me flashing everyone constantly by accident when im fem! Spirit (miniskirt is mini)
Q: How do you react to cosplayers dressed as character from the same anime/game/etc?
A: surprised, 2013 no one except 2 other cosplayers were spirit albarn and 2014 I was the only one at the photoshoot and there was only 2 other Will of the abyss's at anime boston this year and I was different because I incorporated blue in my cosplay but I still love to see it!
Q: Do you try to duplicate your character's expressions, walk, movements, etc?
A: always, (by accident)
Q: When crossplaying, do you try to act as much like the gender as possible?
A: so far ive only been females so... no?
Q: What was your funniest experience of acting in character?
A: When I was fem!Spirit at the soul eater photoshoot this year I was surrounded by maka's and I acted very upset and I probably looked stupid and they all acted like they hated me it was funny my expressions made this one male maka laugh very hard
Q: What was your worst experience acting in character?
A: first year, my wig cap was terrible, it didn't fit and my real hair fell out a lot so mostly just a wardrobe malfunction

A: not yet I haven't had a chance too

A: I wore my Will of the Abyss cosplay and i found this Xerxes Break and i found it funny that we both were looking for one another for hours , she was looking for "the will of the abyss that has been rumored to be walking around the convention " while i was looking for a break, because he is my favorite character in Pandora Hearts. we took pictures and she gave me a lollipop and it was great

A: im currently working on a white rabbit cosplay from Alice in Wonderland for the pop culture expo in a few days, and i want to make Hummingbird from Deadman Wonderland, the Two headed freak from Dark Woods Circus and Ahri from League of Legends (may change champion of not)

A: Deadman Wonderland, only because im trying to get a small group together for next year to go with me (i have a yo! and a possible Owl)

A: yes yes yes, if working as a veterinary technician does not work out for me i will definitely got into costume design i already have a commision lined up too and it's a great feeling

anime boston was a blast
I was with and and it was so much fun we saw so many amazing cosplays including our own (ill post pictures later)
my new cosplay the will of the abyss from Pandora hearts was a pain in my butt but people seemed to love it someone cried when I gave them a hug because I cosplayed their all time favorite character and she was so sweet
everone that actually knew where I was from (there were more than I thought) were really nice and I respect them
but lesson learned im not making ant more floor length dresses again although not many people stepped on it (mostly my friend john did) it was the thought that it could be stepped on and rip which I was afraid of most for those of you who saw me there im glad I saw you you made the experience all the better
and I GOT THE 1ST PLACE HIGH SCORE ON A GAME IN THE GAME ROOM I put down the name ashy so if ya didn't know that's me ^^
so yeah ill post pictures later on tonight and over the week ill upload a shit ton of drawings ive done but have been to lazy to submit
